Welcome
Welcome to North Country Rider Magazine.
An e-magazine dedicated to those motorcyclists who live and ride in Upstate New York and Western Vermont.. We will cover motorcycling events and people in the following counties in New York State. Albany, Cinton, Essex, Franklin, Fulton, Hamilton, Herkimer, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, St. Lawrence, Warren and Washington Counties. Our coverage area will also include Vermont from Bennington to Burlington and the route 7 corridor. We will publish monthly from April to October and the subscription price is free. You will receive an e-mail newsletter informing you of an issues availability. Within the newsletter are links to the articles for that month plus that months Schedule of Events.
There is an old saying; 'I have places to go, people to see and things to do" and this is the core theme of the magazine. This magazine is not about motorcycles, but rather about the people who ride them, the places they go on them and what they do when they get there.
Our Places To Go section will cover a rider friendly establishment where we will sit down with the owner, have a couple of cold ones and dig into the history of the owner and the establishment.
Our People to See section will cover clubs, dealers and other notable individuals involved in motorcycling in the area.
Riding is always a little more fun if you have someplace to go. Our Things To Do section will inform you of different events and destinations that may be of interest as well as the Schedule of Events. An example would be a dealer event such as a grand opening.
Each monthly issue will have the schedule of events for that month and the following month and subscribers will also be able to enter events into the Schedule of Events. The schedule of events for the entire riding season is available on the web site that hosts the magazine. We make every attempt to insure that this schedule of events is the most complete and up to date schedule of events in the area.
Once the riding season starts we will have a section to cover the rides and events that we attended along with plenty of photos. We are big on charity rides so we will also cover the charity that is being assisted by the proceeds from the event.
The web site has a directory of rider friendly taverns and restaurants with information and directions and a dealers directory with contact information and directions.
We recognize that we are covering a great deal of territory. From the web site, subscribers will be able to provide us with articles covering local events in their area that we are not able to cover. We are also looking for articles from women who prefer to drive rather than ride so that we can have a womans view of motorcycling in the magazine.
We hope that you will find the magazine both useful and enjoyable and openly welcome your feedback and suggestions. Use the Contact Us section to find out how.
Please take a moment of your time and subscribe so that you won't miss a single issue. When you subscribe, you provide us with the basis to justify to potential advertisers why they should advertise with us. This allows us to keep the subscription cost FREE.
