Welcome to North Country Rider Magazine.
An e-magazine dedicated to those motorcyclists who live and ride in Upstate New York. We will cover motorcycling events and people in the following counties in New York State. Albany, Cinton, Essex, Franklin, Fulton, Hamilton, Herkimer, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, St. Lawrence, Warren and Washington Counties. Our coverage area will also cover Vermont from Bennington to Burlington and the route 7 corridor. We will publish monthly from April to October and the subscription price is free. You will receive notification of the issues availability at the end of the prior month. Look for you April issue to arrive the last week of March.
There is an old saying; 'I have places to go, people to see and things to do."
Each month our Places To Go segment will cover a rider friendly establishment where we will sit down with the owner, have a couple cold ones and dig into the history of the owner and the establishment. The Places to Go segment in our April issue will feature Sporty and Sporty's Iron Duke Saloon located in Minerva, NY.
Our People to See segment will cover clubs, dealers and other notable individuals involved in motorcycling in the area. In our April issue, we will meet with Jim Hull who is president of Local Chapter 80 (TimberJacks) of the Booze Fighters club.
Riding is always a little more fun if you have someplace to go. Our Things To Do section will take you to different events and destinations that may be of interest. For our April issue we visit the Leather Outlet in Lake George, NY and check out the inventory.
Once the riding season starts we will have a section to cover the rides and events that we attended along with plenty of photos. We are big on charity rides so we will also cover the charity that is being assisted by the funds from the ride.
Each monthly issue will have the schedule of events for that month as well as articles on safety and other interesting bits of information.
The web site will also have a section to cover rider friendly bars and restaurants with menus and directions. The site will also have a dealers directory with photos, contact information and directions.
Subscribers will also be able to enter events into the sites Schedule of Events. Read the disclaimer there but essentially it boils down to "If we do not like it, it does not go in".
We recognize that we are covering a great deal of territory. From the web site, subscribers will be able to provide us with articles covering local events in their area that we are not able to cover.
We hope that you will find the magazine both useful and enjoyable and openly welcome your feedback and suggestions. Use the Contact Us section to find out how.
