Cabin Fever Party - McDermott's Harley Davidson
McDermott’s Harley Davidson informed us that they were conducting a “Cabin Fever” party on March 26th. We sent the subscriber base a newsletter informing them of the event. Those of you who read the magazine on a regular basis know that I am a member of a riding group based in Albany, NY named “Low Expectations”. I was quite surprised to find out that based on the newsletter, eight members of the Low Ex club decided to make a run from Troy to McDermott’s in spite of the 33 degree weather to attend the “Cabin Fever Party”. In my mind, this is pretty cool because not only do I get to meet Alise and the staff at McDermott’s but I also will get to touch base with some of my friends from Low Expectations.
I drove over to McDermott’s to meet the group and to report on the “Cabin Fever” party. It was a day long affair full of food, music and shopping potential not to mention that there were some really cool bikes on display. Jenne Leatherwork was in attendance to take care of your leather repairs and patch application if the need arose.
McDermott’s has always been about community support so it was no surprise that the Ladies of Harley of the Adirondack HOG Chapter were on hand selling raffle tickets and baked goods and the Girl Scouts of Troop 3340 from Queensbury were on hand selling what else but Girl Scout Cookies.
I had a great time and it is always good to meet Alise and our friends at McDermott’s and to meet Peter, JB, Matt and Nicole of Low Expectations. If you did not make the event this year, you should plan on attending next year. It may not significantly change your life but it sure does a good job of curing Cabin Fever.
